There’s quite a lot to announce with this new release and various new integrations which have been quietly dripped out over the past few months.
First lets get started with what’s new in Fast Member itself.
PayPal Smart Buttons
There has been a huge overhaul of the built in PayPal integration with new support for PayPal smart buttons.
This means you can now take PayPal payments without your customer ever leaving your site.
When your customer hits the PayPal button an integrated PayPal form pops over. Your customer can then log directly into PayPal, authorise the payment and will then be redirected to your site and logged in automatically ready to access their content.
This reduces many points of friction in the buying process and creates a smoother user experience which should improve conversions and overall customer satisfaction.
Updated LMS Support
In addition to the built in support for LearnDash, we’ve also added support for Thrive Architect and also updated the support for LearnPress. This means Fast Member now protects your lessons and courses when used with any of these popular LMS plugins.
New Fast Flow Dashboard Widgets
We’ve also added new Fast Flow Dashboard widgets for the following so you can create any combination of widgets to display the stats you need all in one place.
- Hits / Sales
- Tacking Codes
- Sales Pages
- 3rd Parties
- Active Subscribers
Numerous Bug Fixes And Improvements
Within Fast Member there are also a number of bug fixes and minor improvements which can be reviewed in the changelog.
Most notably is an improvement to the member search function which has greatly improved site speed for users with a large number of members.
One of the most obvious new features are a number of add on integrations which are already available within the FastFlow Dashboard.
We’ve updated the Active Campaign, Aweber & GetResponse autoresponder integrations to use the latest API and also added API integrations for a number of other services including ConvertKit and MailerLite.
All new services have full tagging support so you can use the Fast Flow tagging system and fully sync your WordPress members with your chosen CRM.
From here you have an expanded range of options, including conditional content control based on Fast Tags. We have more integrations planned which will make use of the Fast Tags in many different ways in the near future.
Check out Fast Beaver Control and Fast Block Control to get more of an idea on how the Fast Tags work with conditional content.
Amazon S3 settings have been moved into their own dedicated addon which can be installed quickly if required.
This has allowed us to update to the latest AWS library without adding unnecessarily to the codebase of Fast Member.
This has also allowed us to add more endpoints for different Amazon S3 regions.
If you are using S3 all you need to do is install the AWS plugin and make sure your access key details are saved in the Fast Flow settings.
You’ll also notice you can now choose an endpoint region for your files. Once you update everything will continue working as normal for your protected content.
More Plugins, Integrations and Updates Coming
As a part of Fast Flow Pro, in current development is Fast Forms. This give’s you a powerful drag and drop form builder which can be used to add forms from directly inside the WordPress editor and also add to any page builder using the available shortcodes.
When used as part of a PayPal or Stripe checkout this gives you a number of benefits.
It ensures your members create an account with the email address they wish to use instead of automatically having an account created using their PayPal email.
Add users to a Cart abandon sequence in your integrated autoresponder if they do not complete checkout.
You can also collect and pass utm parameters as hidden custom fields to your autoresponder service at checkout to track the source of your customers.
Fast Forms is already available to Fast Flow Pro members and will be having a number of powerful form based features added over the coming weeks.
As part of Fast Flow Pro you get access to all current and future pro plugins.
We’ll be adding more integrations over the coming weeks and months so stay tuned.
